Stay
All of our rooms have been newly refurbished to the highest of standards by renowned Scottish Designer Ronald MacColl and are complete with all amenities and luxuries, including stunning ensuite bathrooms, televisions and telephones.
Five of our rooms overlook the stunning Loch Indaal to the back of the hotel and boast some of the most breathtaking views on Islay.

Eat
From full Scottish breakfasts to dinners of Islay scallops washed down with a bottle of sauvignon blanc, the Lochside kitchen is open all day. Non-residents are welcome for breakfast. The lunch menu — featuring soups, sandwiches and snacks as well as more substantial fare — kicks in from 12pm. Dinner is available from 5-9pm.
Local crab, langoustines, scallops, mussels and oysters all feature regularly on the Lochside’s summer menus, alongside halibut from the neighbouring island of Gigha, prime sirloin steaks, racks and shanks of lamb, as well as old favourites like fish and chips and Steak and Islay Ale pie.
Drink
As well as being a great base for a tour of Islay’s distilleries, the Lochside is also the perfect spot to deepen your knowledge of all things Malt. The bespoke bar in the whisky lounge is home to an extensive collection of fine and rare Islay whiskies.
